Job summary

Fruitvale Healthcare Center is recruiting an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our caring team in Oakland, CA. The OTA administers treatments, performs assessments, and works within an established plan of care to support residents.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,280 to $104,000 plus a sign-on bonus. PTO and referral bonuses are provided; PRN/on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
