Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our caring team in Fremont, CA. We offer a salary range of $104,000 - $124,800 with PRN/on-call duties and a sign-on bonus. PTO and referral bonuses are included in the benefits package.

The OT will evaluate and treat patients within scope, perform tests of strength, ROM, and endurance, and work with an interdisciplinary team. California licensure is required; new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcome.
• Current California OT license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administer and interpret tests for muscle strength, ROM, coordination, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provide direct clinical treatment per established plan of care and participate in an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Conduct home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
