Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate, plan, and administer treatment for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.

The role requires a degree in OT, California licensure, and one year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed. Benefits include PTO, referral bonuses, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy required.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current California OT license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers occupational therapy to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical OT treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and conducts home assessments for safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
