Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Hayward is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapeutic services to residents. The OT evaluates and treats neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions and works within an established care plan.

Licensed in California, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed. PTO and referral bonuses are offered, along with a sign-on bonus. This on-site role supports a collaborative, family-like work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in California.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, and respiration.
• Provides direct clinical treatment according to an established plan of care.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments as appropriate to support safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
