NOVO Rehabilitation in Blackwell, OK seeks an Occupational Therapist (PRN) to initiate and fulfill a plan of care focused on ADLs and mobility, improving safety and quality of life for geriatric residents in our faith-based setting.

The OT provides therapy services, evaluates data, supervises assistants per board requirements, educates patients and families, and completes daily notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries to support Medicare compliance.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher from an occupational therapist accredited program.
  • Must have passing score on the NBCOT exam.
  • Current, active licensure in the state of OK.
  • Uphold state required CEU’s to maintain good standing.
  • Experience with older adults across multiple diagnostic groups preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and fulfill a plan of care focused on ADLs and functional mobility.
  • Provide quality occupational therapy services and supervise assistants as allowed by board standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding therapy techniques for carryover into daily activities.
  • Complete daily treatment notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharges for Medicare guidance.

Our supreme example of a Shepherd is \"The Good Shepherd\", Jesus Christ.**Responsibilities:**The Occupational Therapist is responsible for initiating and fulfilling a plan of care targeted around activities of daily living for bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and/or feeing, improving the overall safety of the resident, and enhancing their quality of life with their desired ADLs and functional mobility.* Provides quality occupational therapy services and recognizes referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, company procedures, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards* Evaluates and obtains data necessary to ensure the plan of care reflects the safety and overall well-being of the individual* Provides ongoing supervision for Occupational Therapy Assistants as agreed upon through board certified Form 5 to ensure justification for the need of skilled services and proper implementation of plan of care* Educates/coordinates with the patient, family, outside contractors, and/or staff as needed regarding appropriate occupational therapy techniques to allow carryover of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities* Completes required daily treatment notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharges to justify skilled necessity and to ensure best quality of care per Medicare guidelines## Qualifications**Requirements:*** Master’s degree or higher from an occupational therapist accredited program* Must have passing score on the NBCOT exam* Current, active licensure in the state of OK* Uphold state required CEU’s in order to maintain good standing with the board* Must be able to complete documentation efficiently to meet reimbursement and regulatory requirements* Therapeutic experience in older adults across multiple diagnostic groups is preferred* Valid driver’s license, and an automobile in good working condition with appropriate insurance coverage in accordance with state laws* Respectful, open communication with other team members, clients, and families
