Job summary

NOVO Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy for the geriatric population. You will initiate and supervise ADL-focused plans, collaborate with families and staff, and ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines.

Requirements include a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, Oklahoma OT licensure, and NBCOT exam completion; strong documentation and team communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Occupational Therapy or higher from an accredited program.
  • Current, active licensure in Oklahoma as an OT.
  • Passing NBCOT exam is required or completed.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and fulfill a plan of care focused on ADLs and functional mobility.
  • Provide quality OT services and recognize referrals per standards and productivity guidelines.
  • Evaluate data to ensure safety and well-being within the plan of care.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as allowed by board rules (Form 5).
  • Educate patient, family and staff on OT techniques for carryover to daily activities.
  • Complete daily treatment notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.

Our supreme example of a Shepherd is \"The Good Shepherd\", Jesus Christ.Responsibilities:The Occupational Therapist is responsible for initiating and fulfilling a plan of care targeted around activities of daily living for bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and/or feeing, improving the overall safety of the resident, and enhancing their quality of life with their desired ADLs and functional mobility.Provides quality occupational therapy services and recognizes referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, company procedures, therapy department procedures, and productivity standardsEvaluates and obtains data necessary to ensure the plan of care reflects the safety and overall well-being of the individualProvides ongoing supervision for Occupational Therapy Assistants as agreed upon through board certified Form 5 to ensure justification for the need of skilled services and proper implementation of plan of careEducates/coordinates with the patient, family, outside contractors, and/or staff as needed regarding appropriate occupational therapy techniques to allow carryover of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activitiesCompletes required daily treatment notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharges to justify skilled necessity and to ensure best quality of care per Medicare guidelinesRequirements:Master’s degree or higher from an occupational therapist accredited programMust have passing score on the NBCOT examCurrent, active licensure in the state of OKUphold state required CEU’s in order to maintain good standing with the boardMust be able to complete documentation efficiently to meet reimbursement and regulatory requirementsTherapeutic experience in older adults across multiple diagnostic groups is preferredValid driver’s license, and an automobile in good working condition with appropriate insurance coverage in accordance with state lawsRespectful, open communication with other team members, clients, and families
