Job summary

HealthPartners Hutchinson is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to support Rehabilitation Services with flexible coverage across inpatient, outpatient, or blended settings based on experience and interests. The inpatient role includes an 18-bed Med/Surg/ICU unit at a Level IV Trauma Center and Level 1 Heart Attack Center, with at least one weekend per month and one holiday per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AOTA- or ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Must be NBCOT-certified after graduation (if after 2009).
• Current national and Minnesota state OT registration and license.

Job description

Join the Hutchinson Health Rehabilitation Services team as a per diem Occupational Therapist. This flexible role may include inpatient, outpatient, or blended coverage based on your experience and interests.

Inpatient therapists support patients within our 18-bed Med/Surg/ICU unit at a Level IV Trauma Center and Level 1 Heart Attack Center. The inpatient commitment averages at least one weekend per month and includes at least one recognized holiday per year. Additional weekday shifts may be available based on patient volumes and staffing needs.

Occupational Therapists interested in outpatient practice may provide coverage within pediatric, cognitive therapy and/or hand therapy. The outpatient commitment is 12 shifts per year, with a minimum of four hours per shift. An approved combination of inpatient and outpatient coverage may also meet the annual per diem commitment.

This position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist seeking scheduling flexibility, a variety of clinical experiences, and the opportunity to support patient access across Rehabilitation Services.

Work Schedule:

1 weekend per month

Yearly holiday rotation

Ability to work additional weekday or weekend shifts as volume demands.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association or the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education. Those graduating after December 31,2009 must have graduated from a school accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education and passed the NBCOT examination for OTs.

• Current national and Minnesota State registration as a Registered Occupational Therapist. Current license through the Minnesota Department of Health.

• Current CPR certification required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience as an occupational therapist is desirable but not required.
