Job summary

Regions Rehabilitation seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide per diem OT services on acute units within a Level 1 trauma hospital. The role includes working one weekend per month and one holiday per year, with additional weekday coverage available to support leaves of absence and staff scheduling in 2026 and 2027.

The position offers training into our inpatient rehabilitation facility based on interest and readiness, with onboarding and mentorship from experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Licensed in MN as an Occupational Therapist.
• Registration with the Minnesota State Department of Health as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current certification with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to adult patients on acute units.
• Work in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting with a range of diagnoses including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic and cardiac units.
• Participate in onboarding and mentorship programs for new hires.
• Support weekend and holiday coverage on a per diem basis.

Regions has multiple weekday and weekend shifts available for a per diem OT!

This OT per diem position requires one weekend per month as well as one holiday per year.We also have consistent weekday shifts to help cover staff who have worked weekends as well as several planned leaves of absenceand are preferring candidates who have an interest in weekday shift coverage.

This position will primarily serve adult patients on acute units of our Level 1 trauma hospital.Training into our 21-bed CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility is offered based on interest, experience and readiness.This position provides an opportunity to work with a wide range of diagnoses: general medical, general deconditioning, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, orthopedic, intensive medical and cardiac units, and observation units. We provide a thorough on-boarding process to all new hires and mentorship from experienced staff is available.Regions Rehabilitation offers in-services on a wide range of topics that can help grow your clinical experience.

Per diem positions are an excellent first step toward full time positions in our hospital.

Work Schedule:

7:00am-3:00 or 7:30-3:30

1 weekend per month

1 holiday per year
