Job summary

Compleat Kidz in North Carolina is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a part-time, afternoon position in our outpatient clinics.

You will evaluate, treat, and discharge plan for children birth to 18, collaborate with OTs, SLPs, PTs, and Behavioral Health staff, and supervise COTAs.

Licensure in VA or eligibility, pediatric experience preferred; strong communication and evidence-based practice required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of pediatric experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or equivalent.
• Licensed in the state of Virginia or eligible for licensure/registration per state registration practices.
• Pass a Background Check.
• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
• Detailed and thorough communication with child's healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Acts as a supervisor for COTAs in the clinic.

Responsibilities

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
