Job summary

Compleat KiDZ is the largest and fastest growing multi-disciplinary pediatric rehabilitation organization in North Carolina. We provide Occupational, Physical, Speech, and ABA Therapy to children birth to 18 years old across 18 clinics, using a play-based model.

As an Occupational Therapist with us, you will assist children in reaching their full potential and contribute to evidence-based practices. We seek an energetic, growth-oriented OT with pediatric experience and a passion for educating

Qualifications

• 1 year pediatric experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by ACOTE or equivalent.
• Licensed in the state of Virginia or eligible for licensure/registration per state practices.
• Pass a Background Check.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.
• Detailed communication with child’s healthcare providers through progress reports and other contacts.
• Assess and recommend assistive technology or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Acts as a supervisor for COTAs in the clinic.

Occupational Therapist (Pediatric) Requirements & Responsibilities

• 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or equivalent.
• Licensed in the state of Virginia or eligible for licensure/registration per state registration practices.
• Pass a Background Check.
• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
• Accurate documentation in EMR system.
• Detailed and thorough communication with child's healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Acts as a supervisor for COTAs in the clinic.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
