Job summary

Compleat Kidz in Danville, Virginia, is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Pediatric) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children in an outpatient setting. This role requires effective communication with healthcare providers and supervision of COTAs.

What sets us apart is our ability to provide all pediatric services under one roof and our team approach to patient care. We provide Occupational, Physical, Speech, and ABA Therapy services to children birth to 18 years of age in our 18 clinics using a play-based model.

Occupational Therapist (Pediatric) Responsibilities

• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
• Provide accurate documentation in the EMR system.
• Communicate thoroughly with the child\'s healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Act as a supervisor for COTAs in the clinic.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or equivalent.
• Licensed in the state of Virginia or eligible for licensure/registration per state registration practices.
• Pass a Background Check.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
