Job summary

MaineHealth's Maine Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct prescribed therapy programs in outpatient settings, focusing on feeding, sensory integration, and overall functional goals for patients with physical, developmental, or aging-related challenges.

The role requires a graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program, an active OT license, current BLS certification (or within 30 days), and a valid driver's license where home care may be involved.

Summary:
The Occupational Therapist role organizes and conducts prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs through the application of purposeful, goal-directed activity in the treatment of persons whose function is impaired by physical illness or injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability or the aging process to achieve the optimum functioning, to prevent disability, and to maintain health. This role will focus on outpatient feeding to include sensory integration intervention.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  3. Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system or outpatient Occupational Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $77,147.20to $104,353.60per year.
