Rehab Associates seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to join its Central Virginia team and deliver outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation. The role emphasizes autonomous practice, evidence-based treatment, and patient-centered care across multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Certification from NBCOT.
• Current Virginia OT license or eligibility and CPR certification.
• Ability to create outpatient balance and vestibular rehab treatment plans.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinical settings.
• Proficient PC skills including EMR, databases and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Review physician referrals and patient records to determine required therapy.
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Supervise care by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Develop goals and comprehensive plan of care to attain them.
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes and reports.

• Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
• Review the Physician's referral (Prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the occupationaltherapy treatment required.
• Provides direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
• Documents findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and develops a comprehensive program to attain goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies.
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

• Graduate from an accredited OccupationalTherapy program.
• Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Current state of Virginia license or ability to obtain a Virginia license and CPR certification.
• Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans.
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
• Possesses basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Database software, and MS Office.
