Rehab Associates of Central Virginia is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Outpatient Ortho. The role focuses on developing and implementing therapy plans for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including balance and vestibular rehab. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Current Virginia license or ability to obtain a Virginia license and CPR certification.
• Able to create outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans.
• Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
• Review the Physician's referral (Prescription) and patient condition/records to determine the OT treatment required.
• Provides direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
• Documents findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and creates a comprehensive program.
• Communicates effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Current state of Virginia license or ability to obtain a Virginia license and CPR certification.
  • Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans.
  • Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
  • Possesses basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Database software, and MS Office.
