Rehab Associates of Central Virginia in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide outpatient care across a range of specialties, including balance and vestibular rehab. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and document progress following established protocols.

The role requires NBCOT certification and a Virginia license (or eligibility) with CPR certification, and offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• NBCOT certification.
• Current Virginia license or ability to obtain one and CPR certification.
• Able to create outpatient balance and vestibular rehab treatment plans.
• Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment.
• PC skills including EMR, databases, and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients and develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Review physician referrals and patient records to determine required OT treatment.
• Provide direct patient care per established protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
• Supervise assistants and rehabilitation technicians in patient care.
• Complete a written plan of care and set goals to attain improvements.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation: daily notes, weekly reports, evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

• Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
• Review the Physician's referral (Prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the occupational therapy treatment required.
• Provides direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
• Documents findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and develops a comprehensive program to attain goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies.
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Current state of Virginia license or ability to obtain a Virginia license and CPR certification.
• Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans.
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
• Possesses basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Database software, and MS Office.
