Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Georgetown is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) PRN to join our team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality OT services, assessing needs, and developing care plans to help patients develop, recover and maintain skills within a supportive environment.

The position requires a current KY state license in Occupational Therapy and BLS certification within 30 days of hire, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a community hospital

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• License: KY State Licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain occupational skills.
• Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills. Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress. Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed. Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current licensure in occupational therapy. Additional requirements include:
