Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. This PRN position involves planning, directing OT services and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident care.

You will conduct screenings, evaluate residents, develop and follow treatment plans, and ensure proper documentation and billing. Supervisory duties for COTA may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Occupational Therapy degree and active state license.
• Commitment to continuing education and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work within current federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best OT intervention for each patient.
• Evaluate residents to inform treatment plans with goals.
• Communicate findings and plans to residents, families, and care team.
• Establish resident therapy schedules with team members.
• Deliver therapy according to plan and document/bill OT services.
• Perform other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Oversee COTA and ensure documentation and reimbursement practices are followed.

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy

Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)

Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification

Job Position:

Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type:

PRN

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
