Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services in Omaha, NE is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility. This full-time position focuses on planning, organizing, developing, and directing Occupational Therapy Services in the facility to ensure high-quality resident care.

You will screen residents, develop treatment plans with goals, coordinate therapy schedules with the team, supervise COTA, document and bill services, and adhere to licensure and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Occupational Therapy license in the practicing state(s).
• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention for each patient.
• Evaluate residents and develop short- and long-term goals.
• Communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members.
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients.
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed.

Job Position: Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type: Full Time

Job Purpose: To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient

• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
