Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Acute Care team on a full-time, day shift schedule. The role includes one weekend day per month and one holiday per year, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies for evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and team members while performing administrative tasks.
• Demonstrates skill with treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols; adjusts plans as needed.
• Selects appropriate evaluation and treatment methods based on patient diagnosis, age, and status.

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Acute Care team. This role will be Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with 1 weekend day per month and 1 holiday per year.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities:

• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Licensure: Occupational Therapist VA License
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualification:

• Occupational Therapist (OT) experience in the acute care setting
