Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Acute Care team. This full-time role is day shift, Monday through Friday with some weekend and holiday coverage.

The OT will evaluate and treat patients, collaborate with care teams, and ensure documentation meets department guidelines while delivering high-quality patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• VA Occupational Therapist license required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities:
