Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital is actively seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care team. This full-time role operates during the day, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and one holiday per year.

You will evaluate and treat patients, collaborating with the care team to optimize outcomes. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, is licensed as an OT, and has BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• OT licensure is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies for evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and team members.
• Demonstrates skill in treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols with re-evaluations as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and status.

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Acute Care team. This role will be a Full Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holiday (1 weekend shift per month and 1 holiday per year)

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities:

• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Licensure: Occupational Therapist
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualification:

• Occupational Therapist (OT) experience in the acute care setting
