Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at The Harrison at Heritage in Fort Worth, TX. This part-time OT position focuses on evaluating and treating patients and supporting their functional goals.

You will screen, assess, and treat individuals, review records, set measurable goals, and coordinate with patients, families, and the clinical team. A current OT license in Texas and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• Strong communication skills and professional interaction with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients.
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications.
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward maximum independence.
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care.
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and team members.

Essential Functions:

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients' family members, and staff
