Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The OT will evaluate and treat patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with families and the care team to optimize functional outcomes.

The role emphasizes clinical independence, high-quality patient care, and supervision of OTAs and rehab technicians. A current Texas OT license and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally to patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients.
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate tools.
• Reviews patient records for diagnoses, history, precautions.
• Establishes measurable goals and develops a treatment plan for maximum independence.
• Supervises OTAs and rehab techs in direct patient care.
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to patients, family, and team.

Essential Functions:

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients' family members, and staff
• Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations
