Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Pearland, TX team. You will screen, evaluate, and treat patients, develop goals and a treatment plan, and collaborate with family and staff to promote independence and mobility.

The position is full-time with benefits including 401k, medical/dental/vision, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and free CEUs. Current OT license in the state is required and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• Must have good communication skills and relate professionally to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
• Complete a comprehensive evaluation using standard tools and procedures.
• Review patient records for diagnoses and history.
• Establish measurable goals and develop a treatment plan to maximize independence.
• Supervise OTAs and rehab techs in direct patient care as appropriate.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to patients, families, and team.

Essential Functions:

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members

Qualifications:
