Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to screen, evaluate, and treat patients across settings. The role offers competitive pay for FT starting at $43/hour, plus a 401k with match and other benefits.

The OT will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop treatment plans to maximize independence, supervise OTAs and rehab techs, and communicate results to patients and the care team. A state license is required.

Qualifications

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients.
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications.
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward independence and/or function.
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act.
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members.

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
• Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations
