Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist in Pearland, TX to screen, evaluate, and treat patients and develop individualized treatment plans. The OT will supervise assistants and rehab techs while communicating findings clearly to patients and families.

The role requires state licensure, excellent communication, and a patient-centered approach to improve independence and function in aging populations within our community.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients.
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications.
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function.
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act.
• Interprets and communicates evaluation findings and treatment program to patients, family, and other team members

Education

Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy

Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice
