Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, onsite school-based role in the Tacoma, WA area. The OT will supervise a COTA, support a secondary-school caseload, and participate in IEP meetings and goal development.

The position runs for the 2026-2027 school year with ASAP start and a end date of June 23, 2027. Onsite collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Washington State Occupational Therapist license.
• Fingerprint clearance through OSPI.
• Ability to supervise a COTA and collaborate with a school team.

Responsibilities

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year in the Tacoma, Washington area. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a secondary-school caseload and supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Responsibilities

• Provide school-based OT services, including assessments, treatment, and consultation


• Support a secondary-school caseload

• Participate in IEP meetings and develop appropriate IEP goals


• Supervise and collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant


• Provide guidance to support the consistent and effective delivery of services


• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams


• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and service records

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Washington State Occupational Therapist license


• Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)


• Ability to supervise and collaborate with a COTA


• Previous school-based or secondary-level experience preferred
