Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric therapy in home or daytime facility settings for patients aged 0-21, at least twice weekly per physician orders.

You will assess impairments, select testing instruments, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan goals, educate families, and potentially supervise assistants. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license to practice occupational therapy.
• Experience in pediatrics is required.
• Home health experience is preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
