Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our home health team in Texas. You will assess and treat children from 0 to 21 years old, two or more times weekly, following physician orders, in home or day programs.

Responsibilities include selecting appropriate tests, interpreting data, and reporting findings. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, staff education, and possible supervision of assistants are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics is required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
