Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric OT services in home or daytime facilities, serving patients from birth to 21 years old. You will work 2+ visits weekly, conducting assessments and formulating treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Texas OT license and practicum hours; home health experience is preferred, and Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state OT license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21 years, 2+ times per week.
• Define patient’s degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals, and instruct team in OT modalities.
• Plan and modify care to meet OT goals and interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
