Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is a pediatric-focused therapy group seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide skilled services in the home or daytime facility for children ages 0–21, with visits at least twice weekly per physician order.

You will assess and define impairments, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan goals and adjust care. Supervisory support may be offered for assistants and staff education.

Qualifications

• Degree in OT required.
• Current Texas license required.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Clinical/practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Define patients' impairment degree and type using appropriate assessments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate goals for each patient.
• Plan and modify care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in‑service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
