Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver skilled OT services to children aged 0–21 in the home or daytime facility, with 2+ visits weekly. The role requires a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, current Texas state license, and pediatric experience; home health experience preferred and Spanish bilingualism is a plus.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate caregivers, and may supervise assistants, supporting each patient

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license to practice occupational therapy.
• Experience in pediatrics required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
