North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled OT services to pediatric patients in home or daytime clinic settings.

You will assess, plan, and implement therapy for children aged 0-21, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, educate families, and support staff training. Texas licensure and pediatric experience are required.

Competenze

• Pediatrics experience is required.
• Home health experience is preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• OT degree from accredited program is required.
• Current Texas state license is required.
• Clinical/practicum hours completed.

• Define patients' impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.

Requirements

• Bachelors/Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
• Current Texas state license
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
