Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking an occupational therapist to provide skilled OT services for ages 0-21 in home or a daytime facility, with visits 2+ times per week as ordered by physicians.

The role requires a Texas license and pediatric experience; practicum hours are expected. Home health experience is preferred, and Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus. Benefits include medical, PTO, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairments using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise the team on OT modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
