Job summary

Shady Grove Center for Nursing & Rehab in Rockville, MD is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our care team and start immediately. You will provide direct patient care, assess functional limitations, establish treatment goals, document patient progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered rehabilitation.

• Provide direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and rehabilitation potential.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals determined by patient capacity under Physician direction.
• Document and educate patients and families on rehabilitation methods.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
