Job summary

Shady Grove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our compassionate care team in Maryland. The role emphasizes hands-on assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with physicians and staff to support residents’ functional goals.

Qualified candidates must hold an OT license and registration. Prior geriatric or long-term care experience is preferred, with a commitment to quality, patient-centered care and professional growth within

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license and registration.
• Experience with long-term/geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assess medical condition, functional status, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and administer individualized treatment plans under physician guidance.
• Document patient progress and educate patients and families on therapy methods.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
