Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide skilled OT services in patients' homes or daytime facilities. The role involves evaluating impairments, generating diagnostic reports, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to set and achieve goals.

You will educate families and staff, adjust plans as needed, and may supervise assistants. A Texas OT license and pediatric experience are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas OT license.
• Experience in pediatrics is required.
• Clinical/practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times/week, per physician orders.
• Define patients' impairment levels using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and instruct on therapy modalities.
• Modify care plans to meet OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Requirements:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
• Current Texas state license
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
