Job summary

Edenbrook Pine Haven in Minnesota seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide quality therapy services on a PRN basis within a skilled nursing and rehab setting. You will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with the care team to promote ADL/IADL independence.

Supervision of COTAs, education for families, and adherence to standards of practice are essential. A Minnesota OT license is required and experience in rehab settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Minnesota OT license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing, home health, or rehabilitation settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate.
• Evaluate residents to obtain data for treatment planning and conduct specialized evaluations.
• Supervise and direct COTAs in treatment plan implementation.
• Apply interventions to maximize ADL/IADL independence.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, note, and report progress toward long and short-term goals.

Position: Occupational Therapist (OT) - PRN

Primary Job Responsibilities

• To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiates referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
• To evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
• To supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
