Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide skilled services in the home or daytime facility for ages 0–21. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor care plans and document progress.

Responsibilities include evaluating motor, sensory, and functional abilities, implementing OT interventions, educating families, and supervising assistants as needed. Texas license and pediatric experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid OT degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state OT license is required.
• Experience in pediatrics is required.
• Clinical/practicum hours must be completed.
• Home health experience preferred; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise on OT modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by creating materials and delivering training and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
