Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Fort Worth, TX seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver pediatric home health services for ages 0–21, 2+ times weekly under physician orders.

You will assess fine motor, sensory, and functional skills, set goals with a multidisciplinary team, and educate families. The role includes collaboration, documentation, and potential supervision of assistants; full-time benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Current Texas state license.
  • Experience in pediatrics required.
  • Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
  • May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
