Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed pediatric occupational therapist to provide skilled services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, meeting physician orders 2+ times per week. You will assess fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills to tailor therapy plans.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document findings, educate families, and possibly supervise aides. Texas licensure required; bilingual Spanish a plus; home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
