Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver pediatric OT services in clients' homes or the daytime facility. You will evaluate, plan, and implement therapy programs for patients aged 0–21, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes testing, documentation, caregiver education, and potential supervision of therapy assistants. Texas licensure and pediatric experience are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Current Texas state license
  • Experience in pediatrics required.
  • Clinical/Practicum hours completed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
  • May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
