Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver pediatric occupational therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facility, multiple weekly visits, per physician orders. You will assess and define patients' motor and sensory impairments, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan goals and training for staff and families.

• Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas state OT license.
• Experience in pediatrics is required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience is preferred.
• Spanish bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Assess and define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan goals and educate staff and families.
• Plan for and modify care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
