Job summary

Essex Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Louisville, KY is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a compassionate therapy team. The role offers full-time hours and a supportive work environment focused on growth and work-life balance.

You will evaluate patients, develop tailored treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support daily living activities and adaptive equipment use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Occupational Therapist ( OT ) certification in Kentucky
• 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing or similar setting (preferred)
• Passion for geriatric care and rehabilitation
• Creativity in problem-solving and activity adaptation

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations
• Develop creative, individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with a supportive, interdisciplinary team
• Provide hands-on therapy focusing on daily living skills and oversee COTA interventions
• Guide patients in using adaptive equipment
• Mentor and guide therapy staff
