Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a pediatric occupational therapist to provide skilled OT services in patients' homes or daytime facilities. You will assess and treat children aged 0–21, using appropriate testing tools and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to reach individualized goals.

The role requires a OT degree, Texas license, and pediatric experience. Home health experience is preferred, and Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Homehealth experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairments by selecting and administering appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals for each patient and instruct the team in OT modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of OT interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training and materials in accordance with a total OT program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
