Job summary

North Texas Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to deliver pediatric therapy in home or daytime facility settings. You’ll assess children ages 0-21, create individualized plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet therapeutic goals.

The role requires an OT degree, Texas licensure, and pediatric experience. Home health exposure is preferred; Spanish language skills are a plus. This full-time opportunity offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
