Qualifications

• Graduate OT program accredited (BSOT or MSOT).

Role Overview:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in a skilled nursing facility setting, focusing on long-term care and short-term rehabilitation for a diverse patient population with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans to achieve functional goals.
• Oversee and evaluate care provided by OT Assistants, Rehab Aides, and students.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely using therapy software.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in emergency procedures and maintain safety, sanitation, and patient rights standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to support care planning.
• Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
• Current registration/licensure in applicable state, maintaining good standing.
• NBCOT certification (renewal optional).
• CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.
• Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and practices in post-acute care.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
• Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
