Job summary

Therapy Solutions Collective (TSCO) is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2026–2027 school year in Portland, OR. This part-time 0.6 FTE role (about 25 hours/week) is on-site at Sabor & Astor and supports students in educational settings under IEP goals.

You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide direct OT services while collaborating with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state OT license in Oregon.
• NBCOT certification.
• Experience with school-aged children or educational settings preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet students’ needs in school environments.
• Commitment to student-centered services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ needs (fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, daily living skills).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct OT services to students individually or in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and MDTs for classroom modifications and accommodations.
• Participate in IEP meetings and document student progress.
• Educate staff and families on strategies for generalization of interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress and sessions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.

What You’ll Be Doing*:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and daily living skill needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' ability to access and succeed in their educational environments.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups, aligned with their IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support classroom modifications, accommodations, and interventions.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and documentation of student progress.
• Educate and support staff and families on strategies for generalization and carryover of therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress reports, treatment sessions, and communications.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices, tools, and techniques in school-based OT.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state where services will be provided.
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
• Experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet students’ individual needs in dynamic school environments.
