Department Details

The primary focus is providing therapy services to Mobile Outpatient Clients living onsite or offsite at the Good Samaritan Society Loveland Campus. Therapy is conducted in various environments including clients' apartments and campus fitness/wellness centers, aiming to improve residents' functionality in their senior living environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments.
• Help clients develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks.
• Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for individuals with functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments.
• Develop realistic therapy goals and implement appropriate programs.
• Document evaluations and therapeutic plans, and modify them as needed.
• Educate clients to enhance understanding and improve outcomes.
• Utilize age-appropriate treatments and integrate current research into practice.
• Possibly treat individuals of all ages with various diagnoses and disorders.
• Follow departmental guidelines and meet regulatory requirements.
• Participate in departmental and organizational activities, including community interactions.
• Supervise assistants, aides, and students as applicable.
• Provide ongoing education and training to peers.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate educational credentials per state licensure requirements.
• Licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Preferred: Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Must obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of employment.
