Job summary

Riverside in Manhattan, NY is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. You will work on-site with a collaborative interdisciplinary group and report to the Director of Rehab and facility leadership.

We offer mentorship for new grads, structured onboarding, and opportunities within a 35-facility network. Pay is hourly, with full health benefits and 401k. Schedule is Monday–Friday, in-person at the Manhattan campus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid OT license/registration in NY or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise OT Assistants per state act.
• Comfort with clinical documentation including evaluations and notes.
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred residents to determine medical status, functional ability, and rehabilitation potential.
• Build individualized treatment plans with measurable goals under physician direction.
• Deliver OT interventions focused on ADL performance, safety, and return to prior function.
• Complete evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety.
• Collaborate with PT/SLP/nursing/dietitian/social work for discharge readiness.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Supervise OTAs and students per state practice act.
